Hi folks! Have had a question from one of our devoted Teamlinks Customers. He would like to know which DLL file to select and which DLL directory to specify when defining a function (behind a button) in Menu Customization. The function he wants carried out is CMFileAttach. He has really only asked me where he can find more info on what the different DLL files in Teamlinks do - but the above is his specific problem. I'm a bit rusty on this myself - and the customer is still using v 2.1. I don't have this version installed anywhere - and I know he shouldn't either, but he promised me he will upgrade to 2.7 or 3.0 shortly and that he is NOT planning to migrate to Exchange either - so I thought I'd try and help ;-) ! So, which DLL file to use with CMFileAttach function when customizing menus? Thanks!! Bjarne :-)

The Create Message window does lots of processing for File Attach. It's pretty complicated because of how it allows the dialog to stay open so the user can attachment multiple files. Infoman calls Filecab.dll for some of this processing. I think that version 2.1 also called the MS Common Dialogs from VB for attaching DOS files. I have no idea whether or not this kind of function can be customized. Hope this helps. Bob |
