We're experiencing a problem after upgrading to TL V2.7 and WordPerfect V7. Under TL V2.5 and WordPerfect V6.1 we used to be able to select a DOS document for editing, then hit the FILE/SEND button and TeamLinks would initialize and display the Create Message window with the DOS file shown as an attachment. (Note that WordPerfect was integrated with TeamLinks.) A user who has upgraded to TL V2.7 and WordPerfect V7 now tries to perform the same operation AS TL2.5/WP6.1 and the Create Message window appears but WITHOUT any attachment. The user must then go through the Add Attachment operation and select the current file as an attachment. We've tried loading WordPerfect's ODMA patches for V7 but it doesn't solve the problem. We've also tried renaming ODMA*.DLL files to logically delete them and this also has no effect. Is there a way to fix this problem? User complains that it defeats the purpose of the SEND option. I cannot test this in the support center because we do not have a copy of WordPerfect V7.0. If anyone has WP7.0 and TLV2.7 please try the steps as customer has stated and post your results. Thanks, AL

1955.1 | Works for me. What version of WP does the customer have? | XANADU::cascobay.zko.dec.com::TAMARA::STJEAN | Bob St.Jean | Tue Jan 28 1997 14:16 | 14 |
I have Corel WP 7. The scenario that you described works for me. It sends using the TL Mail DDE. This is built into the app, carried over from the WP 6.0/6.1 integration. It doesn't use Simple MAPI if it finds TL on the system. I don't believe ODMA comes into play at all in regards to WP's mail command. I have version 7.0.1.9 of Corel WordPerfect 7. I don't think it's the latest, but it isn't the oldest either. What version does your customer have? They can get the exact version info from the WP About command. Bob |
