558.14 | What happened in my case | AIMTEC::GIANNETTI_D | | Mon Apr 21 1997 14:12 | 8 |
| The problem this note was pertaining to...after much work, a great deal
of involvement and a great deal of time turned out to be a problem with
the IOS file cabinet server and a patch was provided to the customer.
This was a problem (if memory serves) that turned out to be NOT
TeamLinks Remote but using SLIP to connect.

558.15 | Have you tried TeamLinks V2.7 and V1.1 of the broker? | XANADU::FLANAGAN | | Mon Apr 21 1997 14:15 | 15 |
| Hi Pan,
Have you tried installing V2.7 and the new broker tlnk$remote.exe
(V1.1-2)? The V2.7 protocol was more robust and the new broker is
backwards compatible with TeamLinks V2.5.
We recently saw a problem with older equipment on the LAT not being
able to keep up the the faster Alpha and newer Vax machines. It seems
the ethernet chip's changed in speed and on long records they had a
problem with sychronization.
If you could send me the logs on both the client *AND* the OpenVMS
side I can see what types of errors you are getting.

| Pan,
Can you also verify the problem does not exist using SLIP?
