Charles DeMoss SNAX::DEMOSS dtn: 225-5584 I am looking for some "general" information.. There is a 25' ODay that will become available shortly to purchase. 1979 25' O Day 15 hp inboard/outboard roller main jib loran vhf Many other "homey" things... I am very familiar with the boat, as I have actually shared it with them for the past couple of years. They are moving to the west coast and are not going to take it with them. It will be offered to me within the next week and he will need to know as soon as possible I am sure. He hasn't indicated a price yet, and I am not sure what it is worth.. Does anyone have any idea of what they have been selling for??? Any info would be helpful.. Thanks `Charlie'

2236.1 | Right time of the year to buy | MCS873::KALINOWSKI | Wed Oct 04 1995 21:31 | 19 | |
From an Internet search I did, a low of $6400 to a high of $13500 for a 79 ODay 25. All the boats seem to have the same gear. Avg was about $10,500. Almost all were in New England /New York. Questions you need to ask: How good is the shape of hull (groundings, scratches etc)? How good is the shape of the sails ? Is it the original Rigging (you are getting toward the end of life of a original ss rigging system ( and this ain't cheap to replace)? How much do you want this boat? How close of a friend is this? It's the end of the year and nobody buys now. And Winter Storage (400-600 bucks) is coming up. Could make for a good deal if this is what you want. |
