2208.3Mooring in Manchester-by-the-SeaTINCUP::CLAFLINTue May 30 1995 13:2036
Since I plan on sailing for much of August, and then Holiday II may be down at
Woods Hole for the balance of the summer, our mooring is available.

Just in case you haven't been to Manchester, it is beautiful. It makes a
wonderful destination for a day sail if you are on the north shore. It is a
good weekend destination from places like Scituate.

The town is compact, with some shops, several good resteraunts (7 Central is
the traditional eatery). The MHBC dingy dock is located at the town park. Good
place for expecially little ones to play. Right next to our dock is the
lobster dock (this is a hint).

My mooring (Dick Ashenden's) is located in section C. This is well towards the
head of the harbor. While I do not use any launch service, I am only about 100
yards from the dingy dock.

Final pitch, consider joining the MHBC. It is a modest club, with equally
modest dues ($50/yr?). If not, at least spread the hospitality of MHBC to your
home port.

Let me know if you are interested. I will then poke into the law of the land.
I will punt if I am out of line.

I do not know the exact rules from Manchester Harbor Master, but here are mine:

	1. All rules and regulations of the Manchester Harbor Master and the
Manchester Harbor Boat Club will be folled not only by the letter,
but more importantly by the spirit.

	2. No charge.

	3. Preference given to short term stays (overnight or multiple nigths
	   during the week.

	4. Further preference given to those who belong to other boat clubs.
MHBC may allow you to use our space on the dingy dock.
