| Pretty well all of the 27's were very good boats. The hull shape
changed little although there was a short one (I think in the early
80's) but the ones in the 70's were good. I have sailed on 2 27's they
really sail like a 30 footer and had a good tunr of speed for what was
essentially a cruising boat.

I think Alan indicated that he used to own a C&C 27. Based on his other entries
you should expect more detailed information than you ever thought you wanted.

| Alan (let me put words in his mouth) had a 26 not a 27. You would be
amazed at the difference between the 26 and the 27 ... in our club, the
only 26 is called "White Knuckles" ... a reference to the tenderness of
the boat.

| "Kicks" a 27 is unbeatable in her division. Very fast, good rating,
fun to sail.

| Last winter, a C&C 27 spent the winter next to mine. The owner was a
72 year old ex-MIT professor whose son was a C&C nut and got him into
sailing late in life. He does most of his sailing singlehanded and
really enjoys the boat.
I have seen him out there in the afternoons and never having any
trouble.
The boat looked good and had no blisters. All the hardware looked like
new too.
