2176.0. "Nauticat Info Wanted!" by SUOSWS::GEISELHART () Mon Nov 07 1994 06:27

Hello folks,
I am looking for Information about the Nauticat 36 and Nauticat 35 and the
differences between them.

We want to charter one of them for a trip in Denmark in next August.
We once was invited on a Nauticat 36 and liked the ship very much. We just
heard that there exists a 35, but don't know wheather it is the same.

Can anyone give us some hints.
Thank You,
Bianca.

Hello again Bianca!

I replyied to you also in SAILING_IN_EU. Here's the reply copied from there.

Nauticat 36 is representing the traditional product line of Nauticats. It is a a
pure Motorsailor. In fact the boat was earlier called Finnsailer 36, but
Nauticat bought the design from their competitor some years ago.

Nauticat 35 is more modern design. It is more close to the "normal" sailing
boats and in fact it sails quite well. It has also a powerful engine and the
interior is designed in a "Nauticat-style". It has a small owners cabin, smaller
than the N36, "deckhouse" like all Nauticats and two seperate cabins in front if
I remember correct.

So Nauticat 35 is more like sailingboat and -36 more like a motorboat.

I hope this gives you some more info Bianca, even the reply took 2 mounths. I
think I have a brochure of -35 back home. I can fax it to you Bianca if you
want....

Have a good sailing in Denmark, but don't forget the Finnish archipelago. It
beats even Greece easily ;-) (with some luck with weathers).
