I am considering buying an Endeavour 40, vintage 1982 Needs lots of TLC). I currently own a Catalina 30 (at least for 1 more weekend). If anyone has any info on sailing characteristics, construction and/or experiences/opinions about the Endeavour, I would appreciate a response. I do not intend to race, am looking for a comfortable coastal cruier (may contemplate a trip down the East Coast and possibly to the islands). I currently sail in and out of Narragansett Bay. This may be the boat I consider "home" someday in the future. John

Russ and Nina Vickers run Hawthorne Cove marina in Salem, Ma. They own and had been living aboard an Endeavor, about the size of the one you are looking at. Maybe you could give Russ a call at the marina, and if it's not his boat you are looking at, he could give you an owner's insight into the Endeavor. 508-740-9890 is the phone number for HCM. djc |
