I don't know? My boat's put away and traditionally snow is the weather
of the season. I'd be way happier if I woke up to a white blanket on
    the ground!

See ya' "Maybe off on some high cold mountain chain"!

As one of the few Southern Hemisphere sailing noters I had to jump in.
The weather is perfect here right now, between 25 and 28 degrees C
every day with warm winds from the northeast.

Yesterday we were on a Transpac 49 on Sydney Harbour and it was
wonderful. It really got the sailing juices going for us. It has been
just about a year now since we sailed Viking Rose up to Port Townsend
to put her up on the hard for three years while we are on this
assignment in Australia. We really miss her, although as a concession
we did bring our Avon down ;) Fortunatly there are a number of sailors
here who have taken pity on us and have invited us out for day sails.

We are leaving tomorrow for the annual Home Leave back in Seattle. I
understand that it has been snowing there as well. We are mentally
preparing ourselves for the shock, and we are telling ourselves that we
only have to put up with the cold for a few weeks and then it is back
    to summer!

    Cheers,

Actually, my note ".0" was meant to be my last in this notesfile as I
had received the package on Monday and had till Friday to locate a
    position within Digital.

Thanks to so many friends in Digital who just refused to stop trying
for me through prayer, through contacts, through being references for
me, through letters and telephone conversations and in many other ways.

I received the written offer for a position in Dallas late Friday
afternoon (the offer letter is stamped 4:23pm!) and I accepted it right
    away.

    PS: when do you move?
1978.5so who discussed WHEN?MR4DEC::RFRANCEYdtn 297-5264 mro4-3/g15Tue Dec 15 1992 06:0118

    Georgia,

Believe me, Friday was so hectic that we NEVER had a chance to discuss
WHEN we'll be moving and all the other etc.'s one would normally
discuss. Never in our lives have we EVER contemplated moving to Texas
as we're born and bred New Englanders. We have absolutely NO idea what
we're going to experience, like ZERO!

We DO think that this is an opportunity and may open up all kinds of
possibilities. My wife, God bless her, has NO desire for us to look
BACK and believes, as I do, that when one door closes another opens.

    	Regards,
