    Cape Cod Bay harbors

Does anyone know what mooring or docking fees are this year in the
harbors of Scituate, Plymouth, Wellfleet, P-Town?

    Any recommendations?

    Any reservations accepted and/or recommended?

And has anyone entered Sesuit? Is it deep enough for a 5 foot draft
    vessel?

I spoke with the harbormaster (dock mistriss?) about mid-June
who said an overnight mooring was about $35, less/stay for longer
terms. This includes launch service "'til you're through doing
whatever you're	doing," showers, laundry access, etc..

I think reservations were accepted if you provide numbers for
	your plastic...

While on the docks, I saw the last 60 or so mooring bases which
had just been cast (concrete) of close to 100. They were squares
about 10-12' on a side, about 1 ft. think on the edges, and about
2+ ft in the center where the steel ring poked up - guaronteed to
hold your average dinghy! Apparantly some dragging and subsequent
damage during Bob and the noname Northeaster in '91 struck a chord.

	Enjoy!

Scituate is $20 a night via Easy Rider (now on CH9).
Fee is for launch service. Hours were 9 - 9 Mon thru Thurs.

1881.3I thought they changed CH9 to an emergency channelCUPTAY::BAILEYSeason of the WinchWed Jul 08 1992 15:2211
    RE: CH9

Really ??? I thought that channel 9 was reserved for "emergency" type
use, like channel 16, as of this year. I know Easy Rider used to use
that channel (like many other launch services in the area) but had to
change to a different channel as of this season.

Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong ...

re .3:

In the First Coast Guard District (New England) channel 9 is now the
channel to be used for non-emergency calling of other boats, marinas,
etc, that used to be done on Channel 16. Channel 16 is now reserved for
emergency use. This should make it easier to get help in a crisis
without interference from, er, ah, um, those who talk before listening,
which is a somewhat comforting thought. Of course, Channel 9 will now be
rather less useful, convenient, whatever, for launch operators, etc, due
to the increased noise, and they may well shift to another channel.

    re .3

The working channel for Easy Rider is 68. Not sure if they monitor
it or only use it for directions after initial contact is made.

Regarding Sesuit Harbor. A five foot draft may be worth checking with
the harbormaster. Phone number is: 385-5555. I know there are sailboats
well over 30 feet. I also know they don't leave or come into the harbor
during low tide. I was told that they dredged the opening of the harbor
    in May.
