1809.0. "Traditional Small Craft Assoc" by DEMOAX::GINGER (Ron Ginger) Tue Nov 12 1991 15:38
The Traditional Small Craft Association of the Peabody Museum meets the
second Tuesday of each month, at 7:30PM, in the Education Room of the
Peabody Museum in Salem MA. Our speakers are varied, usually either
'adventure' stories (last month was a 700 mile canoe trip on the Elk
River in the NorthWest Terrritories) or a builder or designer.
The November 12 meeting is about a cruise to Labrador in a trailerable
sailboat.
For the December 10, 1991 meeting we will have Dick Newick, the
designer of fast ocean going catamarans talking to us.
The group is open to anyone, is VERY informal and low key. We usually
have 50-60 people attend. Bob Hicks, Publisher of MESSING ABOUT IN
BOATS was the founder of this group and is still an active member.
As a side benefit of membership, we can order all books from
International Marine Publishing at 40% OFF list price.
Anyone interested in simple boating will like this group.
