I am in the process of planning a Spring (April or May) charter in the BVI . My plans are, if I can get some additional couples to participate, to charter a Privelege 39 Catamaran for 1 or 2 weeks, likely 1 week but flexible. I am looking for 3 couples who would like to join us. If ther is any interest, plse contact me by E-mail or by phone, DTN 486-6203, (214) 404-6203. The Privelege Cat is 39' LOA with a 20' beam. It sleeps 8 in 4 double staterooms, 1 for each hull, with 1 head with shower per hull. Joe

1795.1 | WE'LL TAKE A HULL! | FSOA::JGARDINER | Open Systems Program | Wed Sep 25 1991 15:15 | 9 |
We may be interested in reserving a hull. My wife and I and another couple were considering a BVI charter for next Spring/Fall and might be willing to take two fo your four cabins on the Cat. Can you give me anymore details? Charterer? Cost? Package deal or al la cart? Thanks, Jeff Gardiner DTN 297-7740
1795.2 | Penny wise and people foolish | AKOCOA::DJOHNSTON | Wed Sep 25 1991 15:30 | 8
Eight people on one 39 foot boat of any configuration is four too many. Don't make the mistake of trying to reduce charter fees by adding too many people. The savings are only a portion of the entire vacation cost and the results will more than likely not be good. Two 39's for eight people would be fun! Dave
1795.3 | Get Lost on a 40' Cat | MEMORY::LAZGIN | Mon Oct 21 1991 19:09 | 13
Ah, and Dave now I know you've never spent a week on a Cat! A 40' Cat is almost 20' wide!!! Thats 800 square feet for people to spread out on!! I sailed for a week in the South of France on 40' Cat with 7 people, and 4 separate state rooms, and nobody got in the way! Since the boat 'never' heels, one can be comfortable almost anywhere, and the salon is Huge! Frank |
