Last winter I had my compass overhauled by Rule Industries. It is an Aquameter Gemini and they replaced the unit with a rebuilt for around $60. During the season, it developed a bubble. I feel that I should be able to get rid of the bubble by adding fluid through the fill plug. The only problem is that I don't know what to put in. Does anybody know what to fill it with? I guess I could call Rule but that seems too easy. Regards, John

1667.1 | Add Mineral Oil | STEREO::HO | Tue Feb 19 1991 13:26 | 10 | |
How about sending it back for warranty work since it didn't even last the season? I had the same problem with a bubble and was told to add mineral oil by the repair person. That worked temporarily. But the fluid kept leaking out at an ever increasing rate. Eventually, I bought a new compass since the price of repair exceeded the cost of replacement. - gene |
