I am thinking of chartering a 30-33 foot sail boat this summer
sometime in August (I like fog, I guess) in Maine, Penobscot Bay
area etc.
Does anyone know of any charters or charter services in the area
that they could recommend? I have done this a lot in the Cape Cod
Buzzards Bay area but would like to try Maine this summer, haven't
done it since 1981

You might try Sun Yacht Charters at Camden Me.
They have several boats both in Camden and in Rockland. Their prices
would most likely be lower then Hinckley.
