1462.0. "Jamestown mooring fee is on" by JUPITR::KTISTAKIS (Mike K.) Fri Mar 23 1990 11:07
Yesterday I received the bad news that Jamestown is impossing a user's
fee for mooring permit.
The fee is $50 for residends and $100 for non. This fee is for boats
up to 25 feet.Any footage above 25'costs two extra bucks per foot for
both residends and not. They talking about using these money to hire
a harbormaster to enforce the provisions of the ordinance.
The bad news for me,besides having to come up with $114,is that
I am going to be forced to put in a holding tank now, something I planed
for next year.Ther good news is that I don't have to worry about
any tax increases, any taxes, they not going to be anymore.
Everybody from the Uncle-Sam and down they use the easy term
"fee"when they need more money.
Gee,I may have to ask my wife to add some fee to my allowance.
Have a nice week end.
