I am loking for a 100-150# Mushroom anchor to replace the ancient one I
have been using and which has lost about 50% of the original material.
I need just the anchor, but would consider the rest of the ground
tackle if the price is right.
Anybody have one out there they don't need or know of a source in te
providence/barrigton area?

Dick,
A number of folk in the area have been using railroad wheels. There
is a Pizza joint on State Street in Bristol about a block up from
the boat ramp. Check with him. He knows the leads. I think it is
actually the Bristol Harbor Master who fabricates them. But
protocall says to check at the Pizza jint first.

I'll be down that way in a few weeks and I'll check on that lead.
I haul my mooring over at Hog Isalnd every fall to check it and to make
sure I can find it. Also saves a lot of wear and tear on the chain
and since I use 30' of 1/2", that can get pretty expensive.
I'll check with some freinds who live in Bristol, also- sounds like a
better deal than the mushroom, which I've always felt were overpriced.

OK, everybody, we're across a rather broad geographical area-
Is $1-/pound a good price for a new mushroom? What's the lowest? The
highest? Observed quality?
