1358.1 | Yanmar Diesels get high marks in my book | SPCTRM::HARRIGAN | Fri Oct 06 1989 15:10 | 14
Info on Yanmar Diesel Have had five years experience with a 44HP Yanmar Diesel. Engine is extremely reliable, maintenance is made easy by engine layout, maintenance is simple and not arduous, Yanmar has a very strong network of dealers locally (in New England) and an oustanding regional distributor in Braintree,Ma. who periodically runs courses on the 'care and feeding' of diesel engines and who has a half dozen in-house troubleshooters or consultants who can be a great help if you are (or think you are) in serious trouble. 1358.2 | St Thomas ? | ISLNDS::LANE | Fri Oct 20 1989 17:40 | 6
In the 1983 time frame there was a charter outfit on St. Thomas that speciallized in Kaliks. A phone call to Avery's Boathouse might give you a lead on others to talk to, dealer names etc. Rick |
