1263.0. "help! please...." by VLNVAX::FRENIERE () Mon Jun 26 1989 13:39
Well, I'm in a real bind.....
Every year I post a request for crew... all my folks are
transferred or married or no longer in the area. Ususally
my problem is with a sailing crew.
This year I brought the boat home. I am reconstructing the
cockpit, and putting in wheel steering. I ended up taking a
spill out the back steps on Jan 7 to feed the birds. It
wasn't untill mid April that I was able to get up on her, and only
for limited work.
Well the knees are working pretty well now, the only thing is,
I am so far behind in getting her ready for the water.
Is there any one or two folk out there who could help me get
my hull prepped and general sanding & clean up and painting.
As usual, I will need a sailing crew for every other weekend
(my wife, a nurse, works alternate weekends). So if you are
free, somehow, to give me a hand, I'd sure appreciate it.
The boat is in Holliston (just south of Framingham). I can use
help from one hour to as many as you can spare, evenings or
especially this coming weekend. It is grunt work, the boat is
a wooden Alden, 34'LOA.
Send me mail on VLNVAX::Freniere or DTN is 297-2225 at Marlboro 1.

1263.1 | Don Freniere still needs crew | ADMRAL::WINTERS | | Tue Aug 23 1994 18:12 | 9 |
| Don Freniere, now retired from Digital, is still sailing on Narragansett Bay.
He sold his wooden Alden to another member of the Bristol Yacht Club, and
he now owns a 29 foot Ericson. Less maintenance and more sailing. Don
continues to look for crew and would enjoy having Sailing Noters aboard. Both
experienced sailors and beginners are welcome.
Call him some evening, 508/429-4136.
