Is anyone out there have a J-Boat, and/or participate in racing J-22,
J-24's etc? (A DIR /TITLE= did not produce any results.)
As a sailor and photographer I'll be attending a large J-24 regatta
this week-end at Rush Creek Yacht Club in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
I'm told that this is THE important qualifying race before the J-24
Nationals, so the top competitors will be out in full force. With the
sunny weather and strond winds it should be a great photo opportunity.
I would like to get the address of any sailing magazine(s) dedicated to
J-Boats, or other sailboat racing of similar size and class. I remember
the name J WORLD, but cannot find an address or even an old copy.
Can anyone help? Thanks in advance . . .

You may wish to contact J-Boats in Newport, Rhode Island for the
name of such a magazine.

The J-24 class magazine comes out twice a year. It's filled with
race anoucements, advertisements, rule changes, and a little bit
of good info on how to make your boat faster. For $30/yr you can
join the class, get two magazines, and race your boat if you own one.
Or you can pay $8 for a back issue. You can reach them by phone
at (407) 773-4141.

The J/22 class also publishes a class magazine. The class secretary
is Galen Freeman and may be contacted at (615) 791-1780. Galen's
printing company is the publisher of the J/22 Class Magazine.
The J/22 North American championships will be held June 12-17, 1989
at the Houston Yacht Club on upper Galveston Bay.
There are 4 J/22 fleets in Texas - Dallas, Houston, Lake Travis,
and Canyon Lake. The class secretary can provide more information.
