1173.0. "extending sailing season" by SSGBPM::TAYLOR () Mon Apr 10 1989 12:31
I have been wanting to extend the sailing season here in New Hampshire.
There never seems to be enough weekends when I sail from late
May or early June until September.
Last Christmas, I received a wet suit. The suit can be used for other
than sailboarding; it allows me to extend the sailing season. This
year, I have already been sailing the last two weekends. Yesterday,
I sailed my 11-foot Snark on a lake that still had ice along the edge.
I was able to walk right into the frigid water. What a difference!
And, if (when) I fall off the boat, I know I am protected from the figid
water. Now I can sail from "ice out" until the lakes start icing over.
