That's a design from about 1972; the designer's name eludes me now. It
was winner in a magazine design contest, and reflected the then-growing
excitement around "sailing sidewalks." The designer ended up selling many
plans, and did versions for wood, steel and fiberglass construction, too.
Full keel, modest rig, flush deck. It has a particularly well-proportioned
pilothouse with inside steering station and settee which could convert to
berths. The main cabin had a galley, head and either V-berths forward, or
storage and head forward with settee berth(s?) amidship.
I just now recall his name -- Frederick Mauric, I think. In the early '70's
he lived somewhere in French-speaking North Africa. Within the past two,
maybe three years he's just put out an updated version, the Endurance 40,
for them's what's int'rested.
