I saw a cradle created from 4 yard stands in the September '87
Cruising World.
As I recall the stands were welded to one another with angle iron
and steel pipe. This idea might work for you. I cannot recall if
this "cradle" supported the keel, or if it sat on separate blocks.
I assume the problem in this yard is that they use a mule to transport
boats in the yard, instead of a Travel Lift or hydralic trailer,
since most of the mules lift the cradle instead of the boat.
