I know that LORANS have been mentioned in numerous places in this notes file.
For selfish purposes (it'll be my next new toy for the boat), I'd like to
have this note dedicated to comments on LORANS - specific makes and models
as well as their use.
So far I've heard of Northstar, Apelco, Datamarine, Micrologic (8000 & 5000)
and terms like Notch filters, waypoints, cross-track error, etc.
(Mr. Moderator, can we have LORAN added as a keyword?)

Keyword creation is enabled for all in this conference. By all means
use keywords!!! Alan's comments in the "current" anchoring note
about old knowledge being useful are right on the mark. Speaking
of marks... You can put your own markers in the conference for major
