199.0. "Living aboard in winter" by VAXWRK::STANGEL () Mon Nov 04 1985 10:33

I currently live aboard my 1972 Mariner 32 and am planning on living aboard
over the winter. This will be my first winter as a liveaboard and my first
New England winter in 6 years (I moved here from Florida this past summer).
Needless to say, I'm a little apprehensive. I live in a pretty nice marina
(Constitution Marina in Charlestown) with about 15 other year-round live-
aboards so that helps.

Is there anyone else who is brave, crazy, stupid, ... (pick appropriate
adjective) enough to spend a New England winter aboard a boat in Boston Harbor
or vicinity?

I have a friend, Carol Weston, who lives aboard (I think for 3 years now)
on ZEETO, at Constitution Wharf Marina. Look her up. I believe the biggest
prob is water and heat. She uses coal and works near by. I don't remember
what she does about water. ZEETO is a 50' three masted schooner, black
hull on the outer end of the western-most dock.

re 1.

I've seen the boat. It's a really interesting looking boat. I didn't know
anyone lived aboard. I live on the other side of the marina and so never
met the owners. I'll look them up.

Thanks,
Andy
