Where do you keep your boat on the big lake. I have a mooring at Goodhue &
Hawkins in Wolfeboro and know of others from DEC on the lake.

I have just traded up from a ComPac 16 to a ComPac 19 Mark II which I hope
to take posession of this weekend. I am at Arey's Marina in Moultonboro, about
5 miles north of Melvin Village - in Ambrose Cove.

| RE: .4
You may want to try Arey's marina for a slip. I have my ComPac 19 there.
It is a quiet marina, about 30 boats. They have showers and toilets,
picnic tables, barbecues, quite a bit of shade on shore.
It is located about 5 miles north of melvin village on Rte 109.
They get $25 /ft for the season (May - Nov). It is about a 1 mile
sail to Moultonboro Bay.
Arey's is run by Mark and Candy St Martin, who are in their 30s I would guess.
There are several couples that age that ovenight there on weekends. There
are some kids around but quiet and well behaved. The gate is locked from 5pm
to 9am; renters have keys to the gate. It is a very secure marina - no
vandalism or security problems. If you leave something lying around, it either
stays there or is returned to you if they can figure out whose it is. Sunday,
we had friends show up unexpectedly while we were out sailing. One of the
teenage employees voulnteered to come out on the lake and find us and let us
know we had company.
There are several DEC families up there. I would recommend it. They may have a
slip and a mooring or two available. It is worth it to us to drive up to the
north end of the lake, although the south end is 35-40 minutes closer.

153.7 | "Ice-Out" declared on Winnipesaukee | UNIFIX::FRENCH | Bill French 381-1859 | Sun Apr 24 1994 08:36 | 14 |
| Let's get this note moving again for Winnipesaukee sailors.
Ice out was officially declared at 12:35 p.m. (Saturday April 23),
when the route of the M/S/ Mt Washington became navigtable.
Historical notes:
Ice out has occurred in the third week of April in 7 of the past 10
years. The earliest on record was March 28, 1921 and the latest was
May 12, 1888
Personally, I'm still 2-3 weekends away from being ready to launch.
Let the games begin!!!

153.8 | need to borrow infant & child pfds for Sat. | UNIFIX::FRENCH | Bill French 381-1859 | Thu Jun 30 1994 15:26 | 12 |
| Anyone know where I can borrow one or two infant PFDs (for little ones
under 30 lbs) and/or one Child size (30-50 lbs). I do not need the "youth"
size which is 50-90 lbs, just the under 30 and 30-50 lb sizes.
This will be for sailing on Winnipesaukee this weekend - probably
Saturday.
Thanks,
Bill
