148.0. "Reasonable Anchorages in S. NH?" by EXODUS::HARROW () Thu Jul 18 1985 16:59
I'm new in the New England area, living in Amherst, NH and have brought
with me from Atlanta a Watkins 25 sloop.
I had originally planned on putting it into the Atlantic but found that
the prices quoted by marinas on the phone were only a subset of the true
cost of a slip or mooring in the Parker River (Mass.) area.
Furthermore, I found that Lake Winnapasaki (spelling?) is a *beautiful*
site and would like to put the boat there, but can't find a slip for
under $1500! Ouch!
Any good ideas (or is anyone interested in a new, roomy ship with 6 foot
headroom (really!))?
Thanks,
Jeff Harrow
