I have a line running down the leech of my mainsail, which looks like it can be adjusted, can anyone suggest what it might be used for. To make it more clear, this line runs down inside the sail, down the leech.

To go into a little more detail: The line is a leach line. When you have excessive flutter in the leach, caused by an increase in the wind speed, tension the leach line to remove the flutter. |
