This year's event is expected to attract over 3,000 participants. Previous GSM events have taken place in Nice (1991 with 690 participants), Berlin (1992 with 630 participants), Lisbon (1993 with 760 participants), Athens (1994 with 780 participants), Madrid (1995 with 1400 participants), Cannes (1996 with 2800 participants). What is the benefit of our participation to the GSM97 event? By the end of 1996, GSM, GSM North America (PCS-1900) and DCS-1800 network operators will have between them a total of about thirty million customers. An increase of one hundred and thirty percent in the twelve months since the end of 1995 must be good news for everyone in the industry!! One example of Digital's leadership in this market is the fact that Digital and partners' solutions have over 70% market share of the European Mobile market in the area of Customer Care and Billing. Digital's stand (D1) measures 36 sq meters (6x6). We will demonstrate our capabilities in the following areas: o Intelligent Networks Service Delivery Platform (ss7) o Network and Service Management (TeMIP) o Customer Care and Billing (Billing & Fraud Management System) o Public Internet (Internet Kiosk) The purpose of this mail is to inform you of the date and our plans, since we know that the area of GSM is of interest to you and your customers and partners. Since Digital is not a sponsor of this event, and like all other exhibitors, participates in a small way in the overall Congress, we do not receive privileges such as delegate passes or gala dinner tickets. However if you plan to visit the event with your customer or prospect, we in the CIEC will do out utmost to make the trip both profitable and enjoyable. DIGITAL is not a sponsor, merely an exhibitor. Stand D12 will highlight four important key areas of focus for DIGITAL. o Intelligent Networks o Public Internet o Network and Service Management o Customer Care and Billing - Billing - Front Office - Datawarehousing - Fraud Management As an exhibitor, DIGITAL is not entitled to any special privileges such as delegate passes or gala dinner tickets.
