Hi, I am new to DECss7, customer would like to upgrade their VAX 4100-A to OpenVMS V6.2 and DECnet/OSI V6.3 (with ECO kits) and running DECss7 (of cause), at the same time, they will migrate Ethernet to FDDI. My questions are: 1) Is the following configuration support DECss7 (v2.4) where OpenVMS (VAX) V6.3, DECnet/OSI V6.3 (e.g. DECnetPlus) over FDDI to Gigaswitch? 2) If DECss7 V2.4 is not supported, then what about other version (e.g. V2.3, V2.2, etc..)? 3) Could we run two DECss7 connections over DSV-11 (I think there is TWO ports on a DSV-11? thanks in advance for help! Hello, What a shame, I was in Sydney the last 3 weeks ... The answer to 1 is yes. You should not have any problems. Be sure to have all the Decnet ECO installed. For Decnet V6.3, it is ECO5 I think. Verify this. About 3, yes you can use the 2 ports on the DSV11. Regards, J.-M. |
