Hello,

The rumour is going round here that as of July 1 1997 CHOPS will no 
longer be supported. Can anyone confirm/deny this rumour?

    retirement for EXTERNAL CUSTOMER ONLY.
    
    From an internal support point of view, we are still doing it. I do

    THIS IS A RETIREMENT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE EUROPEAN SI APPLICATION
    GROUP.

    This concerns the European SI Applications Portfolio (BC 073).
    
    The following SI Application products have been retired from PACS and
    from the SI Software Catalogue. Their part Numbers have been put in
    Maintenance, (effective date 20/MAY/96 addendum 21), then they will be
    put Obsolete after 3 months (effective date 19/AUG),
    the end date of support Engineering will be the 20/NOV/96.
    
    NOTE: THE SI APPLICATION GROUP MANAGES THE EXTERNAL NEEDS ONLY. SUCH AN
    ANNOUNCEMENT CONCERNS THE EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION.
    FOR THE INTERNAL NEEDS, PLEASE CONTACT THE OEG ITSELF OR FOLLOW THE
    INSTRUCTION FROM THE INTERNAL PRODUCT MANAGER WHEN ASSIGNED.
