847.0. "MSS params too low after client change" by UTRTSC::WDEBAKKER (Feed your head) Fri Apr 18 1997 10:18
Hello,
A customer with an existing ACMS application has changed
the clients (ACMSdi) from Windows 3.11 to Windows NT 3.51.
After this change (the only change according to the
developers....), there were a lot of message in the
SWLUP about MSS_MAXOBJ being too small and also
MSS_PROCESS_POOL being too small.
After adjusting theses parameters everything's OK
again, but the question remained if this was to
be expected? Do these parameters have to adjusted
when 'just' changing the client from Windows 3.11
to Windows NT 3.51
I've cross-posted this in CLUSTA::ACMS and UCROW::DESKTOP_ACMS
Cheers,
Willem

| The acmsdi server can't tell one client from another. I can not think
in what way the NT clients in and of themselves would be changing the
system's operation so as to reflect through to affect the ACMS
settings.
