Hi, Does an ACMS Desktop license (QL-GZGAL-3* Conc or QL-GZGAL-2B Personal) apply for Windows/DOS, Windows 95 and Windows NT? A customer has ACMS Desktop running on Windows 3.1 and Windows NT. If they migrate some of ACMS Desktop to NT 3.51 or 4.0, do they require to buy ACMS Desktop licenses for NT? What about media? Does CD-ROM includes kits for mulitple platform? I have looked up SPD 34.81, but I couldn't fully understand part number for ACMS Desktop. Thanks, Patrick

Patrick, > I have looked up SPD 34.81, but I couldn't fully understand part number > for ACMS Desktop. I find the SPD confusing because it lumps two or three ACMS and ACMSxp products sets under the same umbrella ACMS Desktop product name and license. The ACMS Desktop kit for ACMS has all the supported clients on it. The licensing is VMS server based and it does not care what kind of client is attaching. As the customer migrates clients from one kind of client machine to another, the license units they have are still good. /Tom |
