One of the major deliverables of the PS phase is a Functional Specification
Document.  This document has been completed and is available from the
ACMS Desktop public directory:

Field Test Site Solicitation
----------------------------
We are currently soliciting for field test sites for the ACMS Desktop V2.3
for OpenVMS.  Field test is scheduled to run until Tuesday, April 2nd.

The major new features targeted to be in this release are:

        o  Support for OpenVMS V7.1
        o  Support for data compression of task argument workspaces
        o  Support for Multi-part applications over a single network
           connection
        o  Support SLIP/PPP for Windows 95 and Windows NT
        o  Support for ORACLE Developer 2000 and Delphi for client 
           application development
        o  Upgrades to support PowerBuilder V5
        o  Upgrades to support TCP/IP-32, and PATHWORKS
           V6.0
        o  Support for Winsock 2 for Windows 95 and Windows NT (this 
	   feature is dependent on available of Winsock 2 from Mircosoft)
        o  Enhancements to the serial transport
        o  Numerous updates to the documentation set


Brief ACMS Desktop Product Description
--------------------------------------
ACMS Desktop for OpenVMS is a layered software product that enables desktop
system users (clients) access to ACMS host-based (server) transaction
processing applications from the native desktop system environment.
The product currently supports the following clients, networks and servers:

Clients:        DOS, Windows 3.x, Windows 95, Windows NT, Macintosh
                SCO UNIX, Digital UNIX, OpenVMS, and ULTRIX

Networks:       TCP/IP, DECnet, SPX/IPX, AppleTalk, X.25, and Dial-in

Servers:        OpenVMS VAX & Alpha
