Does anyone have any definitive evidence that this eco resolves the
deadlock error?  If so, please post what you know so that we will
have some confidence in this as a solution (or know it's not a
solution).

I have added some additional information regarding this in note
854.4 which might prove helpful.

Also, the equivalent of eco vaxsys16_061 for OpenVMS Vax V6.2 is
vaxsys02_062.

    Thanks for the info in the other note, it does sound likely as a fix.
    I don't have additional info than what you and Dave have posted.
    As I recall the IPMT case we were working related to this note was
    closed by Dave due to lack of progress reporting feedback from the 
    site.
