Can someone who is familiar with Distributed Computer Enviroment (DCE)
help me put this customer's mind at ease. He insist the cover letter
for the delta time patch is in error and DCE other than just 6.2 is
in danger of failing because DCE uses DECthreads and DECthreads 5.5 thru
    7.0 are affected.

    Thanks in advance.

	Jim,

	Here is my question (C970319-6036):

The information included below, supplied by Digital, suggests that the
delta-time limit would not affect DCE except on OpenVMS Alpha, V6.2.

I think DCE could be affected on any VMS system where DECthreads are
affected, because I think DCE uses DECthreads. Perhaps the author of
the information overlooked that possibility. If I am right, DCE would
be affected on OpenVMS VAX and OpenVMS Alpha, V5.5 thru 7.0.

Only someone in DCE engineering would be able to answer this question
in a definitive manner. Please submit the question to the DCE
    	engineering group.

	Thank you,
	Erik Basilier, Motorola
