Hi folks What is the right use of kinit on VMS DCE ? VMS V6.2 DCE 1.4 I'm logged in as cell_admin First try: RDBVIA>kinit -r 30 $1$dub30:[sys0.syscommon.][sysexe]dce$kinit.exe;3: Malformed representation of p rincipal when parsing name Second try: RDBVIA> kinit -r 30d $1$dub30:[sys0.syscommon.][sysexe]dce$kinit.exe;3: Malformed representation of p rincipal when parsing name and also RDBVIA> kinit $1$dub30:[sys0.syscommon.][sysexe]dce$kinit.exe;3: Malformed representation of p rincipal when parsing name X )@ or RDBVIA> kinit cell_admin $1$dub30:[sys0.syscommon.][sysexe]dce$kinit.exe;3: Malformed representation of p rincipal when parsing name�'@ I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong, maybe a VMS guru can help out. A fix for this will be in the next OpenVMS remedial for DCE. In the meantime, use DCE_LOGIN to work around the problem. Dave |
