Hi I cannot see this discussed here before. As I don't know too much indepth about installations on NT I cannot answer my customers' question. He want's to do an automatic (with predefined answers to the questions) installation of our DCE product on Windows NT. He has tried but he cannot figure out how to do it. Can it be done? If so.. how? He's also interrested on some sort of script to "automatically" configure DCE The reason for those questions is that they need to install/configure on a large number of PCs, and would like to have an easy way to do all installations "automatic" over the net via some sort of scripts. //Anders

Anders, For automatic installation of DCE (or any other software product) on a large number of pc's they may want to investigate Microsoft's System Management Server (SMS) software. Creating an automated method for configuring DCE will be possible with our next release of DCE on NT. That release will include command line configuration support, making it possible for the customer to create their own scripts to execute the configuration. Beth |
