I have a cell configured as below:
DCE V1.3 on Unix V3.2D configured as the master CDS server and master security
server. Another same version system contained the CDS replica and security
replica. One single client running DCE V2.0 on Unix V4.0.
I found that if the master security server exist, the client can start normally.
If the master security server not exist (my case, was stopped), the client
failed when starting the sec_cliend:
Checking configuration
Starting DCE services
Starting dced (dced)...
Starting sec_client service (please wait) ..............................
......
*** Error activating secval service
Is it necessary for a client to get to master server when starting?
