I am looking for a therapist who is skilled both with families and
individually with elementary age children.  I prefer that the therapist be 
in the greater Maynard area, but I am willing to go to Cambridge, 
Leominster, Nashua, or Worcester, if needed.

        Does anyone know, and I am sure someone does how/if I can password
        protect a documents in Powerpoint Version 7.0 ?   I checked under
        tools, etc to no avail.  I asked in the Learning Center and she
        didn't know either.

  I'm no "Microsoft Office" expert, but I'm not aware of a way
  to password-protect any of Office's various kinds of documents
  (Word, Excel, or PowerPoint) from within Office.

  Me, I'd get a utility that does encryption and encrypt the
  .PPT file. On a Macintosh, I'd probably use "StuffIt! Deluxe",
  but on a PC, you'd want to use something else.

    Hmmm, don't know about the Word or the Powerpoint, but to password
    protect a document in Excel, go to your save as, and select option.
    It will ask for your passwords for two different things in there.
    The other two could possibly be the same.

The reason that I am looking is because the Nashua Soup Kitchen is gearing
up for its annual "Bag Hunger" campaign and we need about 500 badges 
for the cashiers and grocery store managers and others to wear.  Someone
here at Digital has graciously offered us the use of her hand-squeezing badge
maker, but we need 500 and feel that would take too much time.

The only place I've heard of is Party Time.  Any other suggestions?

    I'm looking for someone to take a couple of bags of toys off my hands
    and take them to a shelter.  I work in HLO; I have the toys with me in
    the trunk of my car.  A lot of the toys are give-aways from burger
    joints (McDonald's, etc.), but there a quite a few other toys such as
    dinosaurs and some action figures.  My 7-year old son would like them
    to go to some children who don't have very many toys.
     
    The toys are all in perfect condition, but contain small parts which
    are not suitable for small children who put things in their mouths.
     
    A family in a tough situation, or a church bazarre in which the
    proceeds will go to a children's group would also be OK with my son.

        I've got quite a few old electronic devices in my basement
        (VCRs, stereo receivers, etc.), most of which are defective
        in some way.

        Is there any person or institution that would like to be
        given these (as opposed to just scrapping them)?

  A year or two ago, Bob, I'd have been the person offering to
  take these. But I've turned over a new leaf, and gone almost
  cold-turkey on junque�. But there are several other places
  you might try to get rid of yours:

    o TEKVAX::ELECTRO_HOBBY -- Lots of people who haven't
      yet found their higher voltage hang out here.

    o Your local dump/recycling center -- Many dumps now
      operate a "Swap SHop". This is an area where you
      can drop of your junque and take home other folk's
      abandoned treasures. The secret is to not to take
      *MUCH* more than you bring. I know at least Nashua
      and Littleton operate these places and probably many
      more towns as well.

      a 187B sampling plug-in and a depopulated 187B plug-in that

    o A PDP-11/05 in a BA11-K box with 8K or so of MM11-L core
      memory, an ASR-33 teletype, *2* high-speed paper tape readers,
      a few other bits and pieces, and circuit schematics and test

  old VCRs, dubious monitors (B/W, CGA, and VGA), microfilm
  viewers, stereos, old political signs, etc.

    Hey folks.
    
    The company with which I am currently working - Java Theater Co. - is
    in need of a stage manager.  A *good* stage manager.
    
    The work consists of 2 rehearsals a week, with phone work that would
    need to be done other days.  The rehearsals are in Charlestown, MA one
    night, and in Boston the other night.
    
    The show opens in mid-May, with 5 performances a week for 3 weeks.  The
    performances will be at the Leland Theatre at the Boston Center for the
    Arts.  
    
    Also, on April 25th, there will be a fund-raiser for the theater
    company (not-for-profit being a REAL term for theater companies!),
    which will need calls to be made, and other stage managing duties.  By
    the way, the benefit will feature our own erstwhile moderator, Justine
    Sullivan!
    
    It is not a certainty that any of us will be getting paid for this
    show, though it *is* probable.  Not a lot, mind you, but it should at
    least cover expenses for driving in, etc.

    The show is about 3 siblings, and the damage done to them as children
    by their alcoholic, abusive father.  It centers mostly on eating
    disorders.  

    My skin has been spoiled by Jafra for 10 years -- and now my
    distributor has left the business. Please, does anyone know of
    a Jafra cosmetics distributor in the Marlboro area?
