425.0. "Talking about coffee" by TLE::SAVAGE () Thu May 25 1995 11:02

Subj: The best coffee....
The best coffee in Sweden is made by Zoega and called "Mollbergs
Blandning". It is delicious. It was one year ago, that I tasted it for
the first time. Since then, I cannot drink any other brand. Gevalia and
Lfbergs Lila are 2 brands that I really try to avoid. Now. Classic
coffee, made by Arvid Nordqvist, is the second best coffee. I also like
the french roasted (?) kind. As for foreign brands (I count Gevalia and
Zoega as Swedish although the owners are foreigners...). Maxwell House
is the best, but its in the same league as Gevalia and Lfbergs Lila.
I have a passion for coffee. A morning without a cup of coffee is a
lost morning and day!!
Have a nice "tear of coffee" (kaffetaar)!

Subj: Re: Coffee
The funny thing is that Gevalia is not expensive at all in Sweden. In
fact, it's not really regarded as a "gourmet coffee". It's more like
Maxwell House here. Another funny fact is that a coffee called "Maxwell
House" is sold in Sweden. It's made by Gevalia as far as I know and
it's much better (IMO) than Maxwell House here!
