Hi,
A friend of mine wants to buy a video recorder in England
and take it to Norway. Does the Norwegian TV/Video system work on the
PAL protocol or the SECAM protocol or some other protocol.
Thanks for any help,
Brendan.

Probably to late to be of any use to you, but for future reference: Most countries in western Europe use PAL. (This certainly includes all the scandinavian countries, Germany, Switzerland, Italy...) France uses SECAM. Russia also uses SECAM, but I think it differs a bit from the french version. If I remeber correctly a signal is "inverted" (sign change or something like that). I am very unsure about the former "eastern block" countries (Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Estonia...). I suspect that Belorussia and the former parts of the Soviet Union uses the "russian" SECAM Olof | |||||
