543.0. "Visiting Stauning, Denmark, in June" by JURA::REPLAT::KEHILY (It's your reality) Thu Apr 22 1993 09:52

Hi,

Myself and two colleagues will be visiting Stauning, in West Jutland,
for a few days in June. We will be flying from England in a light aircraft
via Holland and Germany, and camping at the airfield.

I'd be interested to know what the weather is typically like in mid-June
in this area, and also in suggestions on other things to do and see (I'm
sure we'll get bored of looking at aeroplanes after a few days!)

Cheers,

Graham.

    Hi,

The weather in West Jutland in mid-June should be nice, everything
considered, like around low twenties and some sun. I recently went to
west Jutland on a few days of vacation, and I must admit that Stauning
is pretty much off the turist route. Now there are a few things you may
like to see, first of all the town of Ringkbing is nice, and the town do
celebrate some aniversary (several hundred years) this year. If you
have never seen a park of windmills, you have a large number near by
Stauning. But the best thing may be to go to the westcoast of Jutland,
which is rather spectacular. If you are able to do some travelling,
then Billund (with airport !) has LEGOLAND (from LEGO bricks) as a
    major feature.

Hi Sren,

Thanks for your reply. In fact, we will be going to Legoland, one of
my fellow-travellers has some contacts there. Sounds like it should be
interesting.

I'm just hoping the weather gets better - I'm in Copenhagen (well, the DEC
office right now, looking at the black clouds out of the window ... !

Cheers,

Graham.
