                TAMPERE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY
		        TAMPERE, FINLAND

The Signal Processing Laboratory at Tampere University of Technology is
offering a one-year study Program for graduate and undergraduate
Electrical Engineering students. Upon satisfactory completion of the
Program, interested students may apply for admission to the MSc
Program, and further to a PhD research study at the University.
Holders of BSc degree need additional six to twelve month of studying
    to get the MSc degree.

The Signal Processing Program is aimed at senior under-graduates and
first-year graduate students in Electrical Engineering and Computer
Science. The program has emphasis on modern digital signal processing
methods and new applications giving a solid background both for
    graduate studies and industrial employment.

The courses offered in the Program range from basic intensive DSP to
more advanced and specialized topics in nonlinear processing,
HDTV, digital audio, new signal processors and VLSI systems design.

The Signal Processing Laboratory has modern equipment and facilities.
Over fifty staff members in the Laboratory are involved in advanced
research in the theory and applications of digital signal processing
in TV, multimedia, audio, speech and VLSI systems.
