    Thank you for entering this note.  While there has been some discussion
    in this conference around mail order places (specifically in 233.16,
    243.3 & 243.4) the discussion has largely focused on ordering food and
    on places located in the continental United States.  
    
    A need definitely exists for a note to point to discussions of catalog
    offerings of the non-food variety and outside the US. 
    
    Folks in European countries, please come forward.

    For Swedish glass/crystal try writing to the Glassworks shops where the
    glass/crystal are made. Most of them are in the Province of Smaland
    in the south of Sweden. Two of the most famous ones are:

    A small update on the mail order business...  I wrote to the addresses
    given here and so far I got an answer.

    A gentleman called me home the other evening, asking whether I had
    written to Kosta Boda.  Apparently the firm he belongs to is a dealer
    of Kosta Boda products here in Lisbon and got a copy of my letter
    directly from Kosta Boda!  They don't have a shop, but they do have an
    exhibition place and he told me I would be welcome to stop by, admire
    the pieces and even purchase them at a lower price than in the few
    shops that carry these products in Portugal (he also named them).  By
    the way, I told him I don't own any shop and was interested only as an
    individual prospective buyer, but he said no problem, just stop by
    whenever you wish.
