515.0. "Finnish wedding march - piano recording?" by SMURF::BINDER (Ut aperies opera) Sat Aug 22 1992 09:51

My son will be married in February to a Finn, and they'd like to have a
traditional Finnish wedding march played. I have the piano music for
it, but I'm looking for a recording.

The march is Haeaemarsi - Broellopsmarsch, by Toivo Kuula. If anyone
knows of a recording on CD, cassette, or LP, I'll pay costs to obtain a
    copy.

Thanks for any and all help.

You could post your question also in EEMELI::FNO. Don't scared of what you
see in there; it's just Finnish, but we all understand English as well ;-)

I'll try to check my record archive later this week, and I'll be
happy to provide You with a recording (if I have it) on C-cassette.

But with higher and higher taxes/cost-of-living/etc. wouldn't you
rather be someplace else (at least for a few years ;-)

Yes, but you were a student, not married and without the standard 2+ kids,
mortgage, etc., and things weren't that bad in Finland then as they are now.
