Are there any (in English) "cute" toasts or blessings that the Scandanavia countries have/use? For instance, there is the "Irish Blessing" for Ireland. I'm looking for something several lines long, not a one-word toast or blessing. jan

I am not quite sure what yopu are looking for. a) Something (a saying, proverb, or something) used in a Scandinavian country, which can be translated into English for subsequent use among English-speakers (presumably Americans)? (Presumably as a toast?) or b) Something in English that would be used in front of a Scandinavian audience? Mauritz | |||||

Something like the Irish blessing: May the roads rise to meet you, May wind be always at your back May the sun shine warm upon your face, And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand. Does this help? Thanks for your reply. |
