Not anymore. This anomaly in the Swedish Narcotic Drugs Act was
removed three-four years ago; I still believe that a drug user who
seeks treatment is usually not punished. HOWEVER, sale and
*possession* of drugs is and has always been a serious legal offense.
It is also significantly *less* socially acceptable in Sweden than in
the USA to "do drugs"... it immediately identifies you as a social
outcast.
