| | My information dates from 1985, but back then there was an office of
the Norwegian tourist board that covered France/Switzerland.

    The address was:

Office National du Tourisme de Norv`ege, 88, Avenue Charles de Galle
    	92200 Neully sur Seine

    Sorry, I don't have a telephone number

| | One quick look in Aftenposten (an Oslo newspaper) and i found an ad for
a Svalbard/Spitsbergen Cruise. There are probably lots of others, but this
travel agency is called :
	Informa
	Svalbard Polar Travel
	Karl Johansgate 16 B
	N-0154 Oslo 1
	Phone (47) 2 42 38 10
	or (47) 2 11 55 00
Have a nice trip, Svalbard is wonderful place (in the summer).

I don't know if the originator has gone yet or not, but...

I was there in 1980 - we took a two-week "cruise" from Bergen (with
several stops along the coast of Norway), up to Longyearbyn and
Ny-Alsund, then back to Bergen. We were actually on a mailboat, so it
was nothing fancy - a small cabin for sleeping and three meals a day -
but it included some of the sights at the ports-of-call (transportation
    to and from).

We, of course, spent all the nights in our little cabin, so I don't
know about places to stay on Svalbard.

We were the first boat up that summer and the weather was wonderfully
    clear! What an *incredible* place!!!

Anyway, if anyone is interested, I can dig up the old information
