    Hi,
    
    Im doing research on a Jewish family surname "NAAR". In 1815
    a boy named David Naar emigrated to New York, USA from the
    Island of St.Thomas for schooling. At that time St. Thomas 
    belong to Denmark. I would like to ask: What was the oficial
    religion in Denmark, during 1800s? Where there many Jews that
    emigrated from Denmark during that period of time to America?
    St Thomas has the 2nd oldest sinagoge in the New World. Im 
    trying find out why Jews from Denmark during that time emigr-
    ated to the New World. Any information will be appreciated.
