272.2 | U.S. Opportunity | DECWET::GETSINGER | Eric Getsinger | Wed Feb 07 1990 13:26 | 35 |
| My wife (Constance) and I are searching for an au pair. Our first child is due
in late June (1990), and we would like to have someone join our family by
mid-June. Constance operates a business out of the home, and she needs
someone to help care for the child. The ideal person will be patient, with a
loving attitude for newborn children.
We live in Bellevue, Washington, which is a suburb of Seattle (the largest city
in the state). Seattle is presently one of the most desireable areas to live
in the United States. It has the attractions of a major metropolitan area, yet
there is plenty of natural beauty within a short drive. Seattle is just a
three-hour drive from both Vancouver, British Columbia and Portland, Oregon.
Flexibility is the key word to define our situation. The person will need to
be available every weekday morning and one weekend evening. Weekday afternoons
and evenings will be scheduled, and the total hours of child duty will not
exceed 35 hours. Travel is necessary for my wife's business, so travel
opportunities will be available if she is interested.
We have a spacious home that is located in a pleasant neighborhood. The au
pair's room has a walk-in closet and a couch, and we'll be procuring a
comfortable bed soon. She'll have her own bathroom. As for our food, we eat a
very healthy diet.
We would like our au pair to be a Christian woman who does not smoke. We ask
that the minimum stay be for one year, and compensation is negotiable. If you
know someone who may be interested, please have her send a letter explaining
her qualifications and why she is interested in the position. If she would
like to tell us about her family life, hobbies, and so forth (including a
snapshot or two), we would appreciate it.
